Coffee extract concentration project, the coffee liquor from extraction process was concentrated from solid content 12%wt up to 60~65%wt, and then was processed to powder product by a spray dryer. And a four-effect falling film evaporator was adopted for coffee liquor concentration in consideration of the feature of the feedstock.
A four-effect falling film evaporator was adopted for concentration of coffee extract, in consideration of the large treatment capacity and good fluidity of the feedstock.
And a TVR (thermal vapor recompressor) was installed, by which, a part of secondary steam from Effect I evaporation can be extracted, and was mixed with the fresh steam in the TVR, and then supplied heat to the Effect I heater, thus the steam consumption was reduced.
Full automatic control mode was used, one-button start and stop, one-button cleaning, easy operation, stable running, and labor saving.
One set of four-effect falling film evaporator was adopted, which is able to meet the following demands:
1). The coffee liquor was concentrated from 10% to 60% continuously;
2). The coffer liquor was input and the concentrate was output automatically and continuously, easy operation;
3). All components in the equipment are well designed to ensure safety in production;
4). On-line CIP cleaning device was equipped, for easy cleaning;
5). High automation degree, the evaporator is able to startup and shutdown with one-button.
6). The main configuration of the plant is as below:
a. One set of four-effect falling film evaporator;
b. One set of spray dryer;
c. One set of PLC control system.
